Game Console Review: Kinect XBOX ~ TOTALLY AMAZING!

So hey, guess what??

WE got a Kinect for Christmas!!!

Oh, my goodness. How exciting... you say.

Well, Yes. I would say the same. Totally insane exciting. Do you know what this thing can do?

<<<Well, Like the game you see here Kinect Adventures ... totally an adventure. You cannot sit down while playing Kinect. It's actually the opposite. Example: If you would like a higher score and want to go faster the only way to do that is if YOU JUMP. And I mean jump. You should have seen my dad play this game. It was so funny :) While your playing the console also takes your pictures, mid-jump or mid-something else. They are always funny to look at after your game.

If you are tired of the kiddos lying around playing video games and you want them to do something different, get some exercise for a change, AND the kids NOT give you a hard time... Well, then this is the perfect game console for you. You have to move around so much while playing the games to get a high score, that you feel like your going to pass out. Whew.

Kinectamals  is also a really fun game. You get to adopt pets and scratch them, teach them tricks and play different games. Games like sunken pirate ships, hidden treasure.

And many others to explore. Like the race car game. YOU don't even need a steering wheel it can copy exactly what your doing. When you turn left, the car mimics it. It's that simple. And, so much fun. Again, no sitting down.

What I am really looking forward to playing is this...

My Review 

This is a really fun game because, you get to cook your own meals (I LOVE to cook!), you get to buy your own recipes, and own multiple restaurants. The player can cook a lot of different meals at the same time, and, you are timed. If it takes too long to cook a meal, you get a low score, then a bad tip! As the chef, You want to make good tips, so then you will have the money to purchase from a regular diner to a nicer restaurant. You have four different restaurants to choose from... hamburger diner, Mexican, Italian and French.

I have so much fun buying my own spices, and, I really enjoy being at the market. The market looks like it is set in Italy. I have played the game for hours. I know I have also learned a lot, like the name of food items, and spices. 

If you are a kid under the age of twelve you will have a lot of fun with this Wii game. *This game also includes a chefs hat. **Order Up! is rated E for Everyone.

Halo video game review by Austin

Bent on Humankind's extermination, a powerful fellowship of alien races known as the Covenant is wiping out the Earth's fledgling interstellar empire. You and the other surviving defenders of a devastated colony-world make a desperate attempt to lure the alien fleet away from Earth. My Review

Ah, Halo: Combat Evolved. One of the best video games that I've ever played. Well, one of the best video game series I've ever played. Since Halo: Reach came out a few weeks ago, there are now six Halo games. And I've stayed with 'em through every game.

Years ago I got an Xbox (this was before the Xbox 360 came out) and the first Halo game. And I played. And played. And played some more. I could not get enough of this awesome game that would soon become one of the most well known series of video games in existence. A few years later, Halo 2 came out. I stayed up all night long playing. I was honestly amazed by the quality and sheer awesomeness of that game. And finally, Halo 3. Insanely cool. Drew and I beat it on Legendary the night it came out. Which is hard. Really hard.We even dedicated a meal we had that night at four in the morning to Halo. Hot dogs and potato chips. And every time I eat a hot dog I remember Halo. Since then, Halo Wars, Halo: ODST and Halo: Reach has come out. These games tell the story of when The War starts.

Halo Wars is pretty much just a strategy game. You are commanding troops into battle, telling who and what where to go. You build bases, claim territory and pretty much do everything you need to do to win a war. You are the eyes and ears to all human infantry. Now, a lot of people don't like this. The whole time you are invisible, floating eyes flying over battling people/aliens.  If you don't like the sound of this, buy the game anyways. The cut scenes are friggen' awesome.



Halo: ODST is the same as the first three, game play wise. But, long story short, it was a rip-off. The story line was completely pointless and just plain boring. This is by far the worst of the Halo games. I was extremelly disappointed. I have nothing else to say.

Halo: Reach. The newest of the Halo games and, sadly, the only one that I have yet to play. I have little knowledge on it but am anticipating the moment that I am able to play it. I've heard great things about it. But I do know one thing about it. There are few words to describe it and I am sure that one of them is epic.

Halo is great. End of story. Sorry all of you Call of Duty lovers but in my opinion, it's just better.

My Review


I think it was a very good game, it had a lot of  mysteries. I beat it three times... What I thought about Nancy Drew, was that I love the game because you got to go shopping and you have to solve a bunch of mysteries. You really get to learn a lot in this game, especially spelling. You had to unlock the places you need to go and you get to go online and choose from more than 10,000 spelling words to match those your studying in school. You also get to go through Nancy Drew's house and her attic, which is fun. What I don't like about it, is that it has OK. graphics and the characters don't look like the ones in the book. They look like the characters in the movie, and I think that the game could be longer. I really did beat it in 3 days. This is a really good game, and you should buy the movie also. I really loved the movie and the books. I read the Nancy Drew books, I thought they were really good. I think I should do a book review on them. I will soon, how about that? :D

Video Game Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 by Adrien

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3

I have been playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 since my daddy installed it for me a few days ago. It was like an early Christmas present, since that's all I can think about the last few months. When I was little, I only rode regular kiddie rides, then over the summer I rode a real loopy coaster and it changed my life forever!  I have sketched so many roller coasters and searched them up just to locate and stare at them on Google Earth. But, to be able to build my own... WOW!

The park I am building right now is called "Halloween Town".  I have a drop tower and have built two very speedy fast roller coasters so far with tons of loops. There is another ride that I call "Witches Broom" it  shoots straight up into the air and then falls back. I like the game because you can build rides and make your own people and add themes, food stands, decorations, park employees, pretty much everything you can imagine that makes a great park. It even goes so far as to show you your profits or losses and gives you stats and awards for best park.

You should go buy this game because it's the best PC game I have ever played!  

Video Game Review: Call of Duty: World at War Wii by DrEw

Rated " M FOR MATURE" (Should be T for Teen in my opinion)

Ages:12+

This game is based on World War 2. In Campaign (Single player) You can choose from 14 levels to play, And also half-way through Campaign, you team up with The Red Army (Russia) and fight in the streets of Berlin, Germany, conquering Nazis ( I know it seems disgusting, the thought of Nazis!). During gameplay, you could press the "plus" button on a second wii remote (I call it the wiimote!) and you can fight the war with a teammate!   Muiltplayer is a live match against players around the world, you can choose to play 7 different game modes,and level up over 640 times! you can choose from 25 different guns, (more when playing it on x-box 360) and 25 different perks( bonus upgrades) 

 

As you level up, you unlock upgrade... better guns and your skill increases in vast amounts. When you level up to commander (rank 65) you can unlock prestige mode - in prestige - you can make a very difficult decision. In campaign, if you go to the options menu, you can turn off the blood, gore, and crude language.    

         

                           p.s..... THIS DOES NOT WORK ON LIVE MATCHES!!!!!! so I suggest you mute your TV\Audio when you are the "Marine Raiders" (US ARMY) team,
