Video Game Review: Call of Duty: World at War Wii by DrEw

Rated " M FOR MATURE" (Should be T for Teen in my opinion)

This game is based on World War 2. In Campaign (Single player) You can choose from 14 levels to play, And also half-way through Campaign, you team up with The Red Army (Russia) and fight in the streets of Berlin, Germany, conquering Nazis ( I know it seems disgusting, the thought of Nazis!). During gameplay, you could press the "plus" button on a second wii remote (I call it the wiimote!) and you can fight the war with a teammate!   Muiltplayer is a live match against players around the world, you can choose to play 7 different game modes,and level up over 640 times! you can choose from 25 different guns, (more when playing it on x-box 360) and 25 different perks( bonus upgrades) 

 

As you level up, you unlock upgrade... better guns and your skill increases in vast amounts. When you level up to commander (rank 65) you can unlock prestige mode - in prestige - you can make a very difficult decision. In campaign, if you go to the options menu, you can turn off the blood, gore, and crude language.    

         

                           p.s..... THIS DOES NOT WORK ON LIVE MATCHES!!!!!! so I suggest you mute your TV\Audio when you are the "Marine Raiders" (US ARMY) team,

What I thought about the book...


BIG Nate Books


This was a funny book. It really was a lot like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.

The whole book is the duration of one day about how Nate is trying to "surpass all others." This being known, it was not a long book. I would not call it a "great" book, seeing as it only took me a few hours to read.

This book was surely written for younger kids, maybe 9-12, although it was rather enjoyable for me. :) with this in mind, it was written for young kids, but, like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, is enjoyable for a few older peoples.

What I thought about the book...

Genius. Purely genius. I was constantly laughing when reading this book. My only complaint is that it was not very long. So, what exactly did I think of this book? Well, I think it was... Jaw-dropping, page-turning, evil-teaching, diabolical-laughing (MUAHAHAHAHA!,) and awe-inspiring.

I have already started to learn from His Evil-Incomprehensibleness's teachings. I have already brought out my EVIL, gotten a jump start on my EVIL career (I am getting really good at tee-peeing houses,) have acknowledged that super heroes are big, fat, stupid jerks, have built my EVIL lair (The diobolicalness of it is incredible,) started to build a top-notch EVIL organization (Started to get henchmen and followers - little brothers are so easy to convince,) and started to put the pieces of an EVIL plan together.

I, Kolzor the Immensely Diabolical, will soon be taking over the world with Vordak the Incomprehensible at my side. Tremble in fear.

Bransen Reviews Cam Jansen

Cam Jansen is a girl with a photographic memory. Cam loves to solve mysteries. She and Eric, her friend, are selling rice cakes and chocolate fudge for their school when they stumble across a mystery. Cam thinks that she sees a man in a house that should be empty. They read about a man who robbed a bank, and wonder if this is the same man. Will Cam and Eric catch the thief?

I thought that I would not like the book when I looked at the cover. But I liked the book because it is a mystery book. I've read a few of them and I have liked them all. Plus they are easy to read, so I can finish them quickly.

A note from Bransen's mom: I would really recommend this series for kids who have a harder time reading. When books are more difficult, and kids aren't great readers, they can get really frustrated, and will eventually think that they hate reading and hate books. When Bransen is having a hard time, I can pull out a Cam Jansen book, and he can read through it in a day. It's an easy read, and it boosts his confidence, making him realize that he does enjoy reading, especially if the story is exciting.

Thinkin' Tuesday: Diary Of A Wimpy Kid... The Movie

What's Up? This is Adrien, I begged my mom to go buy Diary of A Wimpy Kid today. No, I have not seen it yet. Sadly, I do not go to the movies a lot. I have seven people in my family, so going to the theater is like as much as a small car costs. (That's what my dad says) I don't mind waiting though, I get to eat more popcorn and candy this way. I watched this movie tonight with Anna and Andrew, so we will all give you our thoughts.

So what did we think about this movie:

Adrien:  Didn't like: So the mom was not casted right, because she didn't fit like in the book. Greg was always suppose to be frowning and when he gets hurt his mouth stays wide open. The bully's did not pinch Greg's arm enough! Like: Some parts of the movie was actually in the book. Most of the characters were perfectly casted. My favorite part of the movie was the Halloween part and when Greg peed on his brother. Favorite Character: Rowley

Anna:  Didn't like: Well most of the book was cut out. The dad in the book was a lot better and the mom was suppose to be involved in Rodrick's band. And of course soooo much was cut out from the book. Like: The other characters where cool. I thought the part where umm, Fregley wanted to name his secret freckle's one hair. Overall, I think everyone should watch it. It had a good message... Treat others nice :O) Favorite Character: Angie

Andrew:  Didn't like: The story in the movie was not as easy to understand as the book. I didn't enjoy it near as much as the book. A lot of the characters were not the cast that I imagined them to be. Like: I liked the part where they performed in the play "Wizard of Oz", it was funny watching the spoiled brat Patty getting a taste of her own medicine. I thought the part where Greg and Rowley had to go shirtless in P.E was funny, I am super skinny and scrawny... I would be so embarrassed! But funny anyway!

Favorite character: Rodrick 'cuz he's a drummer!

Who are We?

So, we've been watching our moms and older sisters do reviews for Reading Teen for awhile now and thought it was time for us to do our own blog, with our own reviews.  But, we're not just sticking to books.  We do like to read a lot, but we like to do other things too.  So we're doing our blog, our way, and if you're a tween, or have a tween in your life, you might like to hear what we have to say.

Hi!  I’m Reagan.  I may be small, but I’m the toughest 10-year-old around.  The things I like to do the most are playing the computer, and read great books.  I love fantasy books!  I also really like to write stories.  If my book ever gets published, you better read it!  The books I like reading the most right now are the Warriors books, and my favorite video computer game is “Howrse”.   I’ll tell you more about that later!  :]

Hey I'm AnnaBanana! I'm the girly girl on the block. I love to play video games, I'm killer at Rockband or Guitar Hero. Besides painting my nails or rearranging my bedroom, I also like to read girl books like Judy Moody and I love Nancy Drew novels. I am a big Harry Potter fan. I listen to the audiobooks with Jim Dale, it is pretty much a normal thing at my house and at Bran and Reagan's house also. I can't wait to get started on reviews for you, I'm excited. P.S. The books I like to read are mostly fantasy or mystery. Harry Potter is my favorite because it’s both. Most books I “read” are actually on audiobook. That’s my favorite way to “read”. My favorite computer game is Pirates of the Caribbean.

Well my name is Adrien and I will do some book reviews and some video game reviews but my specialty is movies!!! I have watched Spiderman over 100 times and I loved the new The Karate Kid! I am the man when it comes to movies. I'm obsessed with the Eiffel Tower in Paris right now and I'm drawing it constantly.I will get busy on those book reviews, I will not be as fast as Reagan or Anna but I'll have more cool!!!
