     This book is so AWESOME! My friends got me into these books in elementary school, but I didn't finish them until 6th grade, and since then I've read them all three more times! The series has 9 books and a prequel, or maybe 9 including the prequel... oh well. Sometimes it can be a little violent... okay maybe a lot violent, but it's also hilarious and cool. The main characters, Smiley, Fone Bone, and Phoney are the funniest, most adorable little creatures ever, and their friends are awesome too, like Ted the Bug and Gran'ma Ben and Thorn. I especially like how the author makes the book ominous and scary, but then sometimes everything is fine and they're laughing, doing funny stuff, and you're reading and laughing even harder than the characters.

     The things I didn't really like are that some characters smoke (eew). Then sometimes Thorn goes to take a bath in the stream (you can't see her in the pictures, that would be gross) and Fone Bone sees. Then there's the violence, sometimes it's just random fighting, but sometimes it's kinda gruesome, like one guy gets his head cut off and there's blood all over... yeah, gross. Other than that there's no language or anything else.

     My favorite characters are SMILEY! He's awesome and kinda stupid but that's what makes him awesome and funny! He finds a baby rat creature and names him Bartleby, and then after Fone Bone tells him not to bring it with them to the city, guess what he does... brings it with them. My next favorite is definitely Bartleby, he is soooo cute and he looks like a little purple teddy bear! He is brave and smart and he does tricks! Then there are the two stupid rat creatures, they're so funny and stupid, and they're always fighting. One wants to make Fone Bone into a stew, and the other wants a light fluffy quiche. That makes the other creature angry, what kind of monsters are they if they eat quiche?!? I have way too many favorites so I'll just wrap it up now, I love Gran'ma Ben and how she's always flirting with Lucius, and there's Thorn and how she still doesn't know that Fone Bone likes her, even though it's dead obvious! And Fone Bone, he's so cute!

     My least favorite is Briar, she scares me... she's this zombie type lady who was cut in half and then the Locust, her master made her able to float around somehow so that she could free him and he could enslave the world! But I won't tell you anymore, you just have to figure it out yourself and read the book!

This False Prince is about a boy named Sage who lives at an orphanage who one day is bought by a noble man named Conner. He picks up 3 other boys. His intentions for them aren't good, they are even at the brink of treson! He wants one of them to play the role of the lost prince, Jaron who supposedly died 4 years ago by pirates. Supposedly (*Hint, hint!*). All he tells Conner is "I am your Prince." and nothing else. Even if he loses all he will say is "I am you prince.".

I love it cause it's really epic! And it's violent! Most of what I love is a spoiler, but trust me, it's amazing. It's probably my favorite book ever!

My favorite character is Sage (Or is it? *hint Hint!*) He's stubborn (like myself) awesome (like myself:) He's like me in guy form! THAT MAKES HIM AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

After I got done reading, I couldn't stop talking about it. I kept trying to tell everyone how amazing it is. So now my friend Joy (she writes for us sometimes) is going to read it too. And my brother.

If you like fantasy and adventure and excitement, or if you have a kid, or know a kid, or like kids, or don't like kids and wish they'd shut up and read, you should buy this book!!

I liked this book because it was kinda like Percy Jackson and the Olympians with action packed pages and adventures.I liked how much detailed the author's settings were. The battles were pretty cool too.

There was nothing really bad like no cussing and stuff like that but there was a crime seen for after a battle and the explanations of a dead person was a little icky and freaky, at least to me.

My favourite character has got to be Jazen, the emissary who came to get Jack from St. Barnaby’s because he was cool and heroic.

My least favourite character is probably Jackson Smart because he was so cruel to Jack and almost everyone else too.

This book was AWESOME! Even better than the first one! It had aliens and world conquest, but the conquering was being done by humans instead of aliens. Eva Nine finally meets another human who she likes and he takes her to a human city, but the human leader is planning something evil. (Shifty eyes "mwahahaha") Eva Nine and her sister Eva Eight escape the city with Rovender and his friend, Nadeau and a new alien, Huxley. I liked how the author added some new things in this book, so it wasn't just like the first one. Hailey was awesome, but by the end he was bald... he doesn't look that great bald. In one picture he doesn't look that great period. But he's still awesome.

I didn't like... I didn't not like much, but one of the characters cursed at least once or twice.

My favorite characters are still Eva, Rovender, and Otto, but my new favorite from this book is Hailey. Hailey is cool, and he's pretty smart too.

My least favorite was Cadmus, he was decieving all his people and he was going to kill all the aliens, who are awesomer than the humans and they deserve to live.

I really loved it!! It was action-packed and magical, which I really love. I think my favorite character was Wisty. In the comics she was always making funny faces and doing funny things.

When I first heard about this book it didn't seem quite that interesting, even though it turned out to be exactly what I liked. I started reading and it was like, yeah, this is okay. Then all the action, adventures and fighting started and I was sucked right in. I like that the characters are little mice in habits, it's really cute, and the way the author describes them, it makes you want to see it. I haven't really ever read anything quite like it, there's warriors, yeah, but those are just cats. This is a total personification, the mice stand up and walk around, wear clothes and stuff. I liked that some characters were perfect little church mice, then there were characters like Constance the badger who wanted to beat the enemy to a pulp.

My favorite character was definitely Constance! She's awesome because she takes action, beats stuff up! Not like The Father Abbot, who wants to do things as peacefully as possible. Then there was Basil Stag Hare, he is the best dude character. He has this funny way of talking, and he's like Constance, take action, beat up the bad guys, and he's a real drama queen too. The best character for cuteness was Silent Sam, he is a baby squirrel who doesn't talk. He's just the most adorable thing, and he ends up fighting the rats with the best of them!

My least favorite was.... Chickenhound the fox. His mother is all clever and smart, then he is just a fool. He escapes the rats and then doesn't watch himself and gets himself killed.

This book was pretty clean, I don't remember there being any language or anything. Just violence.

This book is AWESOME!!! I know Reagan did a review on the novel, but this is the manga, it's different. Anyway, this book was even better than Reagan described! From the very beginning there was action and danger, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. The setting is always changing, and with the whole manga thing you get to see all the different places. It's pretty cool. You should read this book.

My favorite characters were not what everyone expected. Reagan always says that I pick the hottest dude, and she is way in love with Fang so she thought I would pick Fang. I picked Iggy. As soon as he told Gasman, "Bombs are good, I love bombs." I loved him! He is blind, but really smart, and cool. I also like Gasman, he's awesome because he came up with the idea of blowing up the bad guys. And of course, who couldn't like little Angel? She is soooooo cute!

I didn't like Ari so much, he was cool and had big muscles and he looks good in a suit, but dudes that ripped creep me out. I didn't like Fang as much as everyone told me I would, he seemed kinda weird, and he needs a haircut.

There was some language in this book, just two things, but other than that the book was pretty clean. *Puts on hypnotizing eyes* You mussst read thissss book!!

     At first I kinda had a hard time getting into this book, but then when events started to unfold, I wouldn't put it down. This book is awesome because it had pirates AND magic! I liked that the author put Sinbad in the book, I'm a big Sinbad fan and in this book he was as awesome as always. This book is- I'm pretty sure- set in some kind of fictitious Arabic country, because the name of the country is Aribitha, and the ruler is the sultan....

     My favorite character in this book was probably Rhidan, because he's cool. He is the main character, Zardi's best friend who is different than everybody else, he has paler skin and violet eyes, topped with a shock of silvery hair. I think Rhidan and Zardi should end up together because they're best friends and they're always trying to protect each other. I also liked Zardi, she's my age (Not for long!) and she's brave, kind, helpful, and smart. She's a really cool heroine in the story. The best baddie of this story was the Serpent Queen, she was so cool, I pictured her in my head and thought, I love it! She is a woman with scales and a snake head or something like that, but it's cool. She was really powerful and sneaky.

     My least favorite character was probably Nadeem, he is a traitor and a fool. I mean, sure he turns good at the very end, but he betrayed his crewmates, whom he said were his family, and caused them to be imprisoned by the Serpent Queen while he is dressed in fine robes as her adviser. I also didn't like the sultan, he was completely raving mad, killing everybody who disobeyed any tiny rule.

     There was definitely violence in this book (When do I not read violent books?) But nothing too graphic, just some fight scenes. Otherwise there were no real romance or language problems.

Plot Summary
This book is about Amy and Dan Cahill. Their parents had died in a fire so all they had left was each other, a grudging aunt, and their very loving grandmother who they just called Grace. So when Grace dies they are left with practically no one to love. Then they are invited to read the will of their beloved Grace and find out that generations of Cahills have tried to make this race, puzzle, and treasure hunt and Grace has succeed in making the 39 clues the siblings are left with a choice, either take a million dollars, or take the clue which would take then on their way to finding the 39 clues but their Aunt had threatened to disown them and call social serves seeing as they had no one but each other to love they took the challenge. But this book is only the first clue to finding them all.

The Audio book review
David Pittu was the reader, and I liked him a lot. He did different voices for the characters and he wasn't annoying. At the end of the audio book it has something the book doesn't.....

Main Characters
Grace Cahill- Even though she's dead she plays a pretty big part in the book Amy Cahill- 14 year old is brave and a coward at the same time. She cares for her brother so much because he's all she has left. She has her point of view every chapter or so. Dan Cahill- 11 years old is braver than his sister Amy but is also a bit of a weirdo. Madison, Reagan(OMG she acts like I do....ahhhh!!! Twins with Madison), Hamilton(Oldest), Eisenhower(dad), Mary-Todd(mom), Arnold (The pit bull): The Holt family are mean and strong all looking like they just came out of boot camp. William McIntyre: He is Grace's Lawyer and help's Amy and Dan with the clues. Sinead, Ned, and Ted: These are triplets That aren't in the book much. Irina Spasky: A Russian Cahill who is more than she looks. Jonah Wizard: A famous TV actor, singer, and book writer who is surprisingly a Cahill His Dad: That is what Jonah Wizards dad is referred to in the book always trailing Jonah. Ian and Natalie Kabra: These brother and sister are rich and can do what ever and when ever they want when they want it. They are dangrous and cant ever be trusted. Alistair Oh: This old man is tricky and you never know who's side he's on. Aunt Beatrice: Sister to Grace she doesn't love Amy and Dan just is their Guardian but never see's them just hires an Au Pair Nellie Gomez: The latest Au Pair who accompanies Amy and Dan places

Personal Opinion
I liked it, because is was filled with adventure, and mystery. My favorite Character is, *Drums hands on wall* Reagan Holt. She is tough and kind and getting soft though her dad would kill her if he found out.

Deltora Quest: Book One

Now, with the nefarious Shadow Lord's army preparing for invasion, Deltora has never needed Jarred more-- will he answer the call?

     I liked this book, but it was definitely a change from the actual books. (This is another manga, it took me two days to finish all three mangas I got from the bookstore, so I've had a lot of reviewing to do!) Anyway, I liked it, but I kinda liked the actual books a bit better. This is kind of a backstory about the main character of these books' father, Jarred. (There is a little secret that is unveiled in the second or third series that goes along with Leif's parents, but I'll leave it a secret) So it's about how Jarred grew up with his best friend Endon. I liked that I finally got to see what the characters looked like! Some were completely different than what I thought, like Endon looking like a girl for instance, but it wasn't that hard to get used to. I loved how this manga wasn't that different from the actual books, you know, like at the movies when you freak out because they changed everything. Not a problem here!

     I did not like that they made Endon look like a girl! His robes made him look extra girlish too! Also I didn't like how there was some cussing. It wasn't terrible, but every once in a while there was a word or two. And Prandine was totally suspicious looking, and weird I would've been wary of him from the start if I was in that book.

     My favorite character... I don't know, I didn't really have a favorite in this book. If I had to chose I'd pick Jarred because he is strong and brave.

     My least favorites were Endon and Prandine, Endon because he cried too much, even as a grown man. Prandine because he was a traitor and he killed Min!

     Overall, this book is not my favorite, but it is still pretty good. I'd say read the ones after this one, they are better, especially because of Leif and Jasmine!

I liked this book because Percy who was previously lost is found but not by his friends from Camp Halfblood, but instead by the Romans. I really liked the twist Rick Riordan threw in with the Roman camp. Percy was confused because everyone at the Roman camp thought all he knew from Camp Halfblood was silly. I liked the confusion that Percy went through because he struggled but always wowed everyone with his un-Roman style. Three Demigods went on a quest to unleash death and this quest takes them all over the west coast, including the other Demigods on the quest's former homes. In the quest the three Demigods go beyond the power and protection of the Roman (and Greek) gods so they have no help from the gods and they have to work together to finish the quest regain their camp's honour and make it back alive in time for an upcoming battle.This book had me had on the edge of my seat the whole way through and I could not put it down!

There were a couple typos and I hate waiting for the next books, otherwise the book was so-masink! (Our little four year old friend can't say amazing so that's what she says)

My favorite characters were Hazel and Frank because of Hazel's curse and Frank's stick.

I don't like Octavian he is to dramatic for my liking.

Other than all the typos and the waiting there was a tiny bit of kissing and violence and fighting. Other wise the book was perfectly clean and as my friend would say it was so-masink!

This book isn't one of the comic books that we Americans claim to be manga, this is the real deal! A Japanese book that goes right to left instead of left to right! I was so excited about the book and I was not let down. This was a good book, all clean and perfect all around, no cussing, not even kissing or romance (except that Link and Zelda are obviously crushing on each other) at all! (Though I suspect there will be in the other books) I thought that I might be let down but it turned out to be pretty funny and cool.

I didn't like that the dude doesn't wear pants! In other pictures I see him wearing tights at least, but in the book he's pretty much just wearing a little green dress! It's a miracle that no wind was blowing!

My favorite character was definitely Link, he's so cute and brave! In the first half he's only a cute little kid, but then he grows up for the second half and he's more dramatic, but still awesome.
My other favorite character was Epona, the horse who liked Link from the start and ended up becoming his horse at the end. She is smart for a horse, and really cute and sweet.

My least favorite character was Ganondorf, the villain. He's kinda... meh. I just don't really like the guy.

     I know what you're thinking, "vampires? Has Faith gone to the dark side?" Well, the answer is no, these vampires are the real deal, not the sparkly ones that have relationship problems and give birth to creepy monsters. Lol no, these are pirates, and they rock. This book was definitely the saddest and it made me (almost) cry twice. There are many deaths in this book, but I'm not going to tell you who dies because that would just give it all away. I love how Justin Somper mixed the pirates and vampires together in these books, it makes the vampires far less detestable, and you get a lot of cool battle scenes that get you on the edge of your seat. I liked how Grace and Connor finally had to face what they are, and they chose the good side. And an added bonus, Grace finally sorts out her feelings (I said they don't have relationship problems but everybody does once in a while right?) and she picks Lorcan. (That's good cuz I called dibs on Johnny anyway :P) This book was pretty clean except for one word (only repeated twice) and kissing. (Grace kissing Johnny when she's dating Lorcan *rolls eyes*)

      I didn't like how Cheng Li said that word and then Connor repeated it, it was funny, but it was the last thing expected, especially from Cheng Li! I also didn't like how some important people died, and some of the said people were vampire-ified! At least they aren't totally gone.

     My favorite characters in the book were definitely Johnny, he's the cowboy vampirate, and he is totally awesome! He is a bad boy, but he has other sides to him also, making him a hard nut to crack. He is completely in love with Grace, and tries to steal her away from Lorcan. I have to say Jez, well, Stukely now, and Bart too. Stukely is the funny guy, but he's also killer at sword fighting, literally! And Bart is the sweetest guy ever, he's so awesome and hilarious. My favorite female character is Darcy Flotsam, she is a flapper, and also Grace's best friend. She is really cool, and she always knows when something is up with Grace, and she always tells Grace exactly what she needs to feel better.

     My least favorite characters were Lady Lola because she killed one of the main charris that should not have been killed. Also Lola's girls, who killed another person who should not have been killed. (They are pretty cool though- the girls not Lola-) I always have to say Moonshine too, even though he isn't really in this book that much. He's just... icky. lol

     A few notes about the book, firstly, this is NOT the first one, read the first one first to know what is going on! Secondly it can be kinda freaky sometimes, and pretty violent, like, decapitating violent. Also, as I said above, there is one word, but just that one, only said twice. Finally, read these books! You won't be sorry!

This book was one of the few that I really loved. It was kind of violent, but I loved how realistic it was. I couldn't put it down, I stayed up late at night reading this book, I was involved in the story. Sam was the bravest 11-year-old ever. He would always find the smartest ways to get out of very rough situations. He was my favorite character in the whole book. The kidnapper was my LEAST favorite, he was very cruel to these boys, and pretty dumb all around. Lloyd was not as smart of Sam, but he knew how to make somebody laugh! I was thrilled to read this book. It was funny, it was freaky, and it made me laugh multiple times! It was a great read, Savita Kalhan did an amazing job!

What has your writing experience been like, writing The Goddess Girls? Have you enjoyed it?

Writing Goddess Girls together is a blast. It’s so much fun that when the series comes to an end (and we hope that’s still a long way off), we might have a hard time going back to writing solo—at least when it comes to writing middle grade series. In fact, we’ve enjoyed writing together so much that we’ve signed on with our publisher, Aladdin, to write a brand-new Greek mythology-based series for ages 7 – 10. Heroes in Training will debut in August with Book #1: Thunderbolt of Doom.

As for Goddess Girls, after Medusa the Mean (April 2012), our very first Super Special, The Girl Games, will be out in July. The Super Special, which alternates chapters from the points of view of all four of our main goddessgirls, will be followed by Books 9, 10, and 11, which will star (in order) our “P” girls: Pandora, Pheme, and Persephone.

Which one of the Goddess Girls books has been your favorite so far?

Our favorite GG book is almost always the one we happen to be writing at the time. Seeing a story come to life from idea to finished printed (or electronic!) book is what thrills us as writers.

Do you have a favorite character?

We’re probably most fond of Athena. That’s because we both identify with her the most. Like her, we were both good students who liked to read a lot—a typical profile for most writers. Still, our favorite character changes depending on whose story we’re currently writing. We’ve grown rather fond of Artemis while working on Goddess Girls #7: Artemis the Loyal. We like that she’s so take-charge and brave, even when those traits sometimes work to her disadvantage. Truthfully, all of our goddessgirls are dear to our hearts.

What got you started writing these books?

It was Joan’s idea to do a mythology-based series set at a middle school. She’d always been a huge mythology fan. Suzanne quickly became one too in the process of writing the series. After we decided on our four BFF—Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, and Artemis—we brainstormed other characters and teachers to populate Mount Olympus Academy.

Do you have any advice for young girls who want to be authors one day?

Certainly! This is from Suzanne’s author website. She was an elementary school librarian before she became a full-time writer, and used to teach writing with Grades 3 - 6:

• Read, read, read! Especially, read the type of stuff you want to write. Then write the type of stuff you like to read.
• Write about the things you know about and CARE about (through experience, reading, movies, research, etc.) If you aren’t passionate about your subject, how will you make your reader feel anything?
• Take risks: be honest, show your true feelings.
• If you’re blocked, try freewriting: to discover topics, to get yourself going, to help get past “stuck” points in a story or characterization.
• Let your first draft be as crummy as it needs to be--just get words onto paper. You can fix them up later. "The first draft is the writer’s clay." - Bruce Coville
• Don’t be afraid to throw large amounts of writing away. Cutting words--many times, pages of words--improves writing.
• Word choice: Use interesting verbs and specific nouns. Avoid adverbs and too many adjectives. Simple past tense is usually best.
• Learn how to give and take suggestions for improving a piece of writing. Writers need to know how their writing “comes across” to others. Readers can help by asking questions and pointing out places where they were confused, places where the action or dialogue seemed too “unbelievable,” places where things moved too slowly (or too fast), and, of course, places they especially liked.
• Write, write, write. Keep a journal. Try different kinds of writing: poetry, short stories, nonfiction, plays, picture book, essays, personal experience, etc. You get better at writing by learning the skills involved (the “rules”) and by WRITING. It’s the same kind of process as learning to play a musical instrument or a sport.

Two stories, set fifty years apart; interwoven. One told through pictures and the other told through words.

The first story is of Ben, a young boy in the 1977 who just lost his mother and sets out to look for his father. The second story follows Rose, a young girl from 1927's New Jersey who sets out to look for her idol, a movie star.

Both children's search take them to New York City. Both children - deaf - are struggling to find what they are looking for in a world where hearing is normal and sometimes taken for granted. In a sense, they end up mirroring each other's search and face similar hardships. How their lives intertwine in the end, though I was able to guess, was still very bittersweet.

My Review

I liked this book because It's not too emotional, but it is at the same time and I like that. I also like it because Ben is not giving up. He travled miles on his own and he leaves his family just to see if this guy is his dad and he is my age (I think)!

I like it because Rose travels miles too, just to get her mom to notice her and spend time with her because her mom is a movie star.

My favorite characters are:

Book Review

I really liked this book. It was AMAZING! I think that The Search For Wondla is in my top ten favorite books. If you like stuff like Harry Potter and the Tigers Curse Series, you will enjoy this book. The book was a little sad, so sad I almost cried. I think I would like to listen to the audio again or maybe actually read it next time. My favorite character was Eva, I liked how she was really brave, and because she is trying to find another human.

Audiobook Review

The reader Teri Hatcher, does really well on reading the story and she also does really well on the different characters. To me, she is the female, non-British Jim Dayle. Teri Hatcher is one of my favorite readers. I would give her 4 Crowns. That's how good I thought she was.

My Thoughts~

      This. Book. Is. Epic. I know, for me, every book is, that's just the way I am. But seriously, this book is amazing. I haven't read that fast in ages. It took me about from the start of this week to yesterday afternoon, which is actually quite normal for me, but with school and homework and stuff I haven't read that fast since two years ago in sixth grade during class (Note: don't read during class). Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk about me, I'm trying to emphasize the amazingness of the book. I got completely sucked into this book, and I couldn't put it down for long. It has monsters and action and weapons, the works of an awesome adventure/action book. You definitely need to read this, after all the other ones I told you to read :P.

Fave Characters~

     Sky Weathers: good at puzzles, has a person in the back of his mind, doesn't make friends easily. My kinda guy. He is my favorite character other than Hands, one of his friends that doesn't completely trust him until the very end, and Errand, the person I mentioned in the back of Sky's mind.

     Hands: likes his privacy, dramatizing everything, and teen vampire romance novels. Love the guy. He is something else, and definitely one of the best characters in the whole book.

     Errand: likes helping Sky with fights at school, takes Sky edgewalking, has been trapped and frozen in a prison for eleven years. He looks exactly like Sky, even has the same marks on his hand. Two white crescent moons in his palm that connect at the tips, surrounded by a black mark that looks like a wound that won't heal, it is also two crescent moons connected at the tips (The Hunter's Mark (white) and the cicatrix, or trix (black)).

The best monsters in this story are:

Echo: treelike, with big black wings like leather. Its branches can be like tentacles, or like branches, or like a shield around it. It does not have eyes, because the great monster hunter, Solomon Rose, gouged them out one by one.To survive a fight/encounter with one, attack the branches.

Shadow Warg: basically shadow wolf, since warg means wolf, and is pronounced with a v not a w. Weird huh? Anyway, they are the size of a Clydesdale, and made of shadow and darkness. They can move from shadow to shadow without being seen, like in the Percy Jackson books when Nico shadow travels. They are controlled by a Wargarou, the pack leader pretty much. These creatures, even the Wargarou, can appear human when they want to. To survive a fight/encounter with one, use silver, fire, or wolfsbane.

Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules.

     Heist Society and Uncommon Criminals are now the king and queen of my favorite list. The characters are so likeable, and they all have a sense of humor to just add a perfect touch to the books. This book was completely captivating and amazing! At first, though, the Bagshaws weren't there so it wasn't completely perfect, but it was close enough. I especially liked how there was a little more of a spark between Hale and Kat, and Gabrielle was trying to talk to Kat about Hale and how good they would be together. This time Kat has a little bit of a rebellious attitude. She goes against her uncle's word and heads off with Simon, Hale and Gabrielle to steal the Cleopatra Emerald, which is cursed, while the rest of their family is in Uruguay... or Paraguay, they confused me with their fighting about which one is which. Anyway, it was also fun to see the adversary as someone else, who is even harder to beat than Taccone was. Like in a game when you level up and get harder enemies.

     The stuff I didn't like... probably that it was annoying to me how the bad guy was so smug about everything, especially when Kat's crew's plan didn't work. I can't think of anything else that was really bad or anything. I can never find bad stuff, it's like Andye is a mind reader, picking the books that I love and asking me to review them. :P

     Okay so not much has changed since the last book in the category of fave characters. I still love the Bagshaws the best, and Kat. She is so awesome, how can anyone not like her? I have to say I like everyone, but those are just the absolute best.

     My least favorites were Maggie, the bad character, she was breaking like, a million thief rules, just so she could be rich. I just didn't like her, I'm not sure why other than the reason listed before.

     Overall, the book was awesome, it was real people, no magic, but it was from the thief's point of view. If you haven't read these books, you are missing out BIG TIME. You have to read them, like, right now.

I liked it and I would read it again. I mean, I think you would like it, if you liked elves and magical creatures! The book was very well written and enjoyable. READ IT.

My Review

Gladius and the Bartlett Trial is a great fantasy book. With so many imaginative and creative elements to it, it made for a very entertaining read. Although the genre is a bit of what I associate with "generic fantasy" - something that started with Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia and was carried on by many authors - it still held a uniqueness that I really enjoyed.

This book was greatly written, with wording that never left me bored. I really wanted to know this book. It was a great story that I loved!

Something I love about fantasy books: Dragons. I love it when an author includes a dragon or dragons in any story. And there was a scene including a dragon in Gladius that I loved. Very well written and timed.

All-in-all, this is a story about growing up. And it's a great book for any middle-grade readers who like the idea of sort of medieval fantasy. This is a good one that will keep you reading till the end! Excellent job Mr. Paul!

Plot Summary MAX,<3 FANG<3, Nudge, Iggy, Gassman(Gazzy), Angel, Total (The talking dog with wings) all are happy to be back in the United States, Max's mom, Dr. Martinez, created a thing called the CSM , to put people's notice to pollution and ocean pollution so that the global warming will stop. So to get the message out they MADE the flock do these air shows, so when they get shot at they decide that the air shows are too dangers (after much arguing) so they do one more air show. But of course Fang was right. They where WAY too dangerous. They are attacked by what they described as robot ninja's with orange blood and flesh. So they get moved to a safe house. Max goes flying alone at night when she gets shot by the robots that she named M-geeks and taken to a short angry Asian man named, Mr. Chew. When she refuses to join him in his plans she is thrown a half a mile away from the safe house (Quote!: So this ended up with me actually ringing the door bell.) She has to rest for 3 days (really a week) in those three days Jeb had told them about a day and night school that he wanted them to try. When they came back they learned that Dr. Martinez had been kidnapped. So they go in military subs down into the depths and mysteries of the ocean and awesomeness ensues.

Plot High Point:

When Max and the flock find out where Dr martinez ais and rescue her.

AudioBook Review:

So... the audio part was pretty good, I mean it wasn't my kind of book, but it was pretty good! I thought that the reader was a really good reader. I thought that Lana Quinlan did very well on the voices and she was very entertaining with the reading. I also think that if you like girly books that this is your kind of book! This audiobook (all three) was pretty entertaining and it wasn't very long so I breezed right through it!

What I liked about the book...

My Favorite character was Nikki, and she is the main character. Why I liked her was because she didn't always say "OMG! OMG! OMG!" And I liked that about her, she didn't want to be a really big popular girl. So that is what I liked about her! I like how there is a little bit of romance in the book, and I like scary books, but the only good scary books are YA books and I cant read a lot of YA books! So as far as this book goes, it was well written and enjoyable.

Author Review: Shel Silverstein

Shel Silverstein is not only an incredible poet but also a lyrical genius.

"Once there was a tree... and she loved a boy." So begins a story of unforgettable perception, beautifully written by the gifted and versatile Silverstein.

There are many who would say that Shel Silverstein is a less nonsensical Dr. Seuss. I would heartily disagree; Silverstein is entirely his own writer. He takes any and every subject, making the words rhyme with a magical flow. Some of his work is funny, some whimsical. Other still make you smile at the sheer cleverness of the story.

"Who wants a pancake,
Sweet and piping hot?
Good little Grace looks up and says,
'I'll take the one on top.'
Who wants a pancake,
Fresh off the griddle?
Terrible Theresa smiles and says,
'I'll take the one in the middle.'"

All of the different characters and personalities that Silverstein portrays on paper are the purest form of creativity I can imagine.

Over the years, no matter how much I mature, no matter how much I grow, I simply cannot help but be intensely entertained whenever I recall a segment of "Falling Up" or am reminded of a line from "Where the Sidewalk Ends."

Although most of Silverstein's work is humorous and lighthearted, there are those poems that take a much more serious note.

"You should have heard the old men cry,
You should have heard the biddies
When that sad stranger raised his flute
And piped away the kiddies.
Katy, Tommy, Meg and Bob
Followed, skipping gaily,
Red-haired Ruth, my brother Rob,
And little crippled Bailey,
John and Nils and Cousin Claire,
Dancin', spinnin', turnin'
'Cross the hills to God know where
They never came returnin'.
'Cross the hills to God knows where
The piper pranced, a leadin'.
Each child in Hamlin Town but me,
And I stayed home unheedin'.
My papa said that I was blest,
For if that music had found me,
I'd be witch-cast like all the rest,
This town grows old around me.
I cannot say I did not hear
That sound so haunting hollow-
I heard, I heard, I heard it clear...
I was afraid to follow."

A word I used earlier to describe Silverstein was versatile. And I think that the poem above proves just that. Not only is Shel Silverstein incredibly adept at writing comedic rhymes, but also can take on that which is more serious, and this is what proves that he is an amazing writer.

I don't think I'll ever grow out of Silverstein's work; it's just too good.

This book was AWESOMESAUCE! I loved the characters, the settings, the romance, all of it! This is definitely going to be added to my long list of favorites. I really especially liked how there were lots of different scenes, all in different places, it makes it more interesting to me when the author is explaining the scenes constantly. I also liked how the author didn't just instantly make the characters fall in love, they gradually discovered new things about each other and got closer before they fell in love. They only kissed like, twice or three times in the book, which made me happy, I like romance, but not excessive kissing.

I didn't not like this, but it still made me angry how North yells at Syd and gets mad at her sometimes when he's had too much drink. I didn't dislike much about this book, just North's random outbursts made me a bit angry at him.

My favorite character is probably Sydelle, because she is independent, strong, but also passionate about what she does, and also very kind, intelligent and helpful to those in need. I also think North was a pretty good character, he was misunderstood, but still kind and protective. The perfect hot guy of the story lol. My other favorite character of the story was Owain, North's friend. He's like, this big, teddy bear type guy who helps Syd and North with their quest. I got the feeling that he wasn't much for romance, because he started talking about his girl, Vesta, and it turns out she's a horse.

My least favorite characters were probably Queen Eglantine, The Sorceress Imperial, and Dorwan, a rogue wizard and North's sworn enemy. I usually have a thing for the bad guys, because they're cool, they have better weapons or it turns out that they have a heart... not this time. The villains were cruel, they didn't have very good weapons or anything, and they just didn't captivate me like they usually do.

I think this is a more fantasy-ish book, and real-life lovers might like it, but it has a lot of magic in it. Guys might like this, but it does have romance and mushy, sappy parts. I also believe that everybody should read this book, it is awesomesauce, epic, and it will knock your socks off!

So Fang left at the end of the last book to make his own flock. So he leaves Max heart-broken. Since she was screaming her head off in her room at the flocks safe house, and crying up in trees, the flock called Max's mom, DR. Martinez. So who's left? Fang. So who's there? you guessed him: Dylan *growls at him lashing tail*. So when Dylan and Max are told that they should go to a house and get married Max and Dylan say no, BUT they become closer and closer throughout the book. Fang and Max's flocks both hear about this Doomsday group, that they are chanting, "Save that planted, kill the humans!" So Fang calls Max begging for help. So both flocks come together to save the planet...again.

I HATE this book!!!! It's dumb and stupid and it's ALL DYAN'S fault!! I hate it because Fang leaves Max and Max likes stupid DYLAN!!!!! IF DYLAN HADN'T TOLD FANG TO LEAVE IN THE BOOK BEFORE THIS THEN MAX AND FANG WOULD BE TOGETHER AND I WOULD LIKE THE BOOK!!!! BUT NO IT'S STUPID DYLAN INSTEAD!!! Don't read it if you like FANG(Who's worthy of Max, Hotter than Dyaln, SMARTER than Dylan, and he's not 6 MONTHS OLD!!) I punched the pillow, I cried and I really screamed into the pillow.

Oh and there is kissing in this book and it's really mushy gushy!

My Review

As this series continues, my sheer awe and incredulity increases. These books are just plain awesome.

This book picks up nearly a year after the end of book one. So, although there's a pretty big span of time covered, the characters retain their previous awesomeness of the first book. Brandon Mull really does a great job writing his characters in a way that makes you never want to stop reading about them. Every time I come close to finishing a Fablehaven book, I wish I could somehow add another hundred or so pages. And maybe another hundred or so pages to that.

Although there is sort of a new villain is introduced into each new Fablehaven book, there is always that one same goal present that is partially introduced in the first book: defeating the Society of the Evening Star. Though, this one goal doesn't really come into play until the second book. This is where the real genius of the plot really starts. This is when the books get incredibly interesting. I'm not saying that the first installment wasn't great, but this second book is where Mull's master plan is introduced, and where you get really hooked.

This is a very recommended series for any lovers of fantasy-type fiction. I first came across this series when I heard one of my friends compare it to Harry Potter; I couldn't not read it. These really are amazing books.

I don’t think there's a sequel, but this book makes good for it. When I finished the book, I was so happy that it ended, because I’m new to reading (but non started reading will like it better). I was sad because it was a really good book I couldn't put it away until bedtime. If you want a new book to read think about reading this book.

I didn't know how to get the blue thing around the first part.... Anyway, my review~

This book is probably one of the best books I've ever read. It's really well written and detailed, and you feel like you're standing right there watching it all go down! I liked how she made the people half dragon, and that they live in a big community [pride]. I also liked that they weren't just dragons, they had different kinds that learned different things and had different abilities. It was cool how the author mixed the fantasy of the dragon people with the realistic town of Chaparral and the normal teen girl problems and situations.

What I didn't like... let's see.... I didn't like it that they kissed as much as they did. Every two to four pages there was kissing. It was partly to keep Jacinda alive, but I saw no need to go that far with it. Also, I didn't like it that they have to strip when they turn into their dragon. At the end of the book, Jacinda has to go nude for the whole car ride home, which was REALLY disturbing to me. Otherwise, though, it was a great book.

My favorite character was probably Jacinda, because she was so independent and fearless. She wasn't afraid to do what she thought was right, and she stuck up for her friends and her boyfriend when it was really dangerous. She is also really pretty, and a really rare, cool draki.

My least favorite character was definitely Cassian, the pride leader's son. He was basically forcing Jacinda to date him when she quite obviously didn't want to. He only wanted her for her power, and because she was a rare draki that could make his bloodline stronger and better. Cassian's father was also really annoying. He was really into punishing people....

I think this is definitely a girl's book, and probably mostly for teens for reasons listed above. Also, people who like real life stuff probably wouldn't like this book because it is full of fantasy everywhere. So overall, this book was one of the best in my list.

Heist Society looked like an entertaining book on the outside, and it was even better on the inside! This book was about a family of thieves, that go around stealing valuable things like paintings and statues. They are really good at stealing, and after they come in, steal the paintings, and get out, nobody even knows what happened.

The main character, Katarina Bishop, was really funny. In the first few pages it describes her as a Russian princess, even though she isn't Russian. [She isn't a princess either, but she could definitely pass for one] She's sneaky, cunning, and at a boarding school. Yeah, she tries to give up her life for a more 'good' and 'respectable' life. Her family won't let her do that so easily, and they bring her back. More specifically, W. W. Hale The Third brings her back. He frames her for a crime that she didn't do, and she gets kicked out of school and goes back to Europe.

When she gets back, Hale [nobody knows what the W's stand for so they call him Hale] and Kat's cousin Gabrielle are waiting for her. They lecture her on how she shouldn't have left, that thievery is her life, and she can't just walk away. Soon after that, she is visited by a mysterious, Al Taccone. He accuses Kat's father of stealing his paintings, and he wants Kat to get them back to him. She argues that her father did not steal the paintings, but he insists and Kat accepts. But she can't just do it with however much time she needs. She has a time limit to get them back, before he takes her father away.

I liked that the characters were all thieves, it seems like nobody has really ever stopped to tell their story before. It was cool that stealing was a family business, and they all stuck together no matter what. I thought it was funny how they all kind of knew what the others were thinking, and they seemed really close, like they weren't only family, but best friends. There wasn't really anything that I didn't like, except Taccone seemed to be flirting with Kat at the end, which was just a little awkward since he is a grown man, and she's a teenager.

My favorite characters would have to be the Bagshaws, they are definitely the funniest, and they just go ahead and say what's on their minds, even if it's a totally random and strange comment. My least favorite character was probably... I don't know, they were all so cool!

This is definitely one of my favorite books, and I would read it again and again if I didn't have other books to read and review. I think it could be a good read for all ages, because it didn't have any bad content and it kept me excited. One example; I kept thinking that Gabrielle was going to steal Hale away from Kat. Which, I know she probably wouldn't do, now that I've read the whole book.

The only thing about this book was that Kat's cousins kept commenting on her boobs. It was meant to be funny, and it was, but I know some people out there would be kinda weirded out by that. Other than that there wasn't any awkwardness, language or bad stuff in it at all. It was a really good book and I really enjoyed it.

This book was super fun and funny! I liked Sally Simplesmith's character and LOVED Bones the dead dog. This was a detective book, so I was happy to see that Sally and Bones worked together very well. Bones always knew what to do, he was really the smart one. I loved all the names of the characters in this book like of course, Sally Simplesmith and her father Seymour. Then there's Viola Vanderperfect, haha Vanderperfect. Guess what she wasn't so perfect, kinda bratty. Viola had a dog named Princess Poopsy. Too funny.

Well, if you like a good, who stole what? dedetective mystery, then check this one out. It's a good one!

Cats. You have to earn the respect of cats. Plus, compared to dogs, it actually feels nice to get licked by cats.

I can burp-talk really well. (I just burped that answer out, in fact.)

You have funner dreams if you eat ice cream before bed. Plus, even though I always feel like I could eat a dozen donuts when I first open up a box, I usually crash out after 2-3, tops. For some reason that annoys me about donuts.

It's my favorite book!

Review:

I don't know where to begin or how much to tell. When I read this book, all I knew was that it was about Angels. That's it. And I'm so glad that's all I knew. So, I don't want to give too much away. There's a pretty big spoiler in the book description (which I took out) that I wish wasn't there because I just want people to experience it without knowing what's coming. It's so much better that way!! So, if you haven't read the book description, don't read it!!

I absolutely loved Cynthia's writing style. I flew through this book without even realizing that I was through it! It was almost like reading two different stories in one. Like there's this incredible book, with an extra amazing story placed in the middle of it. I felt like I was transported! And the setting was just compelling! I wanted to go to Wyoming and go skiing and hiking and swing on rope swings into dangerous rivers. Everything about it just made me smile and sigh and wish it were me there living that life! Amazing!

Clara is an fantastic character! I just loved her! And it was so refreshing to read about a girl being the angel, trying to save a boy for once! She certainly had her issues, but she was no damsel in distress! She made me laugh with her orange hair and her playful talk. I felt like she was a really relatable character.....even if she is an Angel!

I also loved the mystery in the book. I found everything so mysterious! From Clara, to her mother, to Clara's friend, to her brother, and even the boy she's supposed to save. I feel like we're just glimpsing the tip of the iceberg in this book, and I can't wait to see what unravels in the following books! Which brings me to the cliffhanger. The book does have some answers, but there is also so much that is left unanswered. Normally this drives me crazy, but when a book is this amazing, and this well written, I just want it to go on and on. I can't wait for the next book!

This book is about a dog named Balto but that's a bit obvious. I forget a LOT of the people's names!!! In this book tons of people get sick in Nome, Alaska with diphtheria and so it spreads really quickly! The only cure is called antitoxin and the only supply is 650 miles away!! So the people who delivered the mail had a idea to get as many musher's that would come forth to go and it the med's and they'd all go in different places to get the med's and bring it back to Nome.

I didn't like this book very much because it didn't have any detail and it was like someone looking down from above what they saw. Balto is my favorite because the book only has like two people. I also liked him because he had REALLY good senses and because in the middle of a storm when no other dog could find the way he could. If you like books about history, or dogs, you might like it.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!! I LOVED IT cause it's so adventurous! My favorite people are Max, Angel, and Fang! I like Max because she was strong and cool! Then I like Fang because he is so like emo and stuff! I like Angel because she is cute and she can read minds! I LOVE this book it's so violent and stuff!!!!!!!

The reader was REALLY good. She had like awesome voices for everyone! The audio that we listened to also had music and some sound effects. Not too much, but it was different than others I've listened to.

My Review

The writing was very good and I liked how the author would tell you exactly what was happening
and I read the book in just two days. I really enjoyed the book and it was very easy to read. I think I liked Eugene most because he had such good imagination and he would play in his room and pretend he was saving people from lava. The book was set either at Eugene's home or school. I didn't like how Eugene was only at his school or at his house, sometimes it became boring. And the author didn't really explain Eugene's life or his friends and sister. My favorite part would have to be the pictures, they where really cool and I liked them very much, George O'Conner did a very good job. If you like Super-hero books, this was a good one!

Plot summary:

Dog Days is the 4th book in a series, about school student Greg Heffley and his life’s problems, which he brings mostly upon himself. Again, Jeff Kinney has created, in words and pictures, a highly laughable cartoon novel/diary. As in the other books in the series, the emphasis is on the general goofiness that comes with being a self-centered adolescent and the often unexpected results, at least to Greg.

Well, it all starts of with Greg playing video games during the school holidays, but his mum wants to do something a whole lot different, so she decides she wants to go to the beach for a day. Instead his friend Rowley takes Greg to the beach first and they stay in an old house, with no electricity or video games. Greg gets bored quickly and scares his friend so bad, Greg’s father has to leave work early to pick them up. Greg and Rowley end up falling out.

His mum takes him to the pool and Greg tries to impress a girl called Heather Hills, but it doesn’t work out too well. Rowley’s mum invites Greg to come along to the fair and both boys make up, so Greg’s summer gets better.

Plot high point:

When Greg and Rowley sleep in the old beach house and get scared.

Low point:

Unfortunately it’s the summer and no time is spent at school, where it may have been funnier.

Personal opinion:

I thought it was good but mostly sad. It was sad because I felt like what was happening to her was actually happening to me. At least that is how it made me feel. It was good in the writing and how much she seems like a real person!

My favorite character is the main character Hanna. My second favorite person is Danny, the boy Hanna suspects is a ghost. I liked this book so I recommend it to people who like fiction and kind of scary stories, and people who like real-life stories, because this one seemed real. Thanks have a great day bye!

This is my history book so I needed to read it but it was pretty good. My favorite character is Esther because she is strong and willing to help anyone! Then it is Mary, Esther's new friend from school! I wouldn't want to live in this time period because there are no computers(how would I blog???). But, I think the story was good because everyone always has hope so that is cool! If you're looking for a good book, that also might teach you something, you should check this one out!

It was kind of good. I thought it was funny, but maybe I'm getting too old for this type of book. It's not exactly my type, but I liked some one else's life to listen to for once. It was a nice break from the fantasy I normally read. The audiobook reader was kinda good. Sometimes he made Greg sound a little bit snotty. He did different voices, but since it was a journal, it was mostly Greg. I'm going to give this audiobook to my little brother, he will probably love it!!

The Story:

Every chapter switches between Billy and his dog, and Dr. Dilbert Dinkle and his cat. The book is about how Dr. Dilbert Dinkle was robbing a bank, and he had a liquidator 2000 that turns anything into water. He accidentally turns himself into water, which he thinks is a good thing, until his cat drinks him....and then does what cat's do......turning Dr. Dinkle into animated pee. (haha, awesome) Then he decides he will destroy every toilet in town. Super diaper baby has to save the town....and the toilets.....from the giant Dr. Dinkle pee monster.

My favorite character:

I really liked Super Diaper baby and the cat, Petey. I liked Super Diaper Baby because he's really funny. I liked Petey because he was a villian, a he got really out of control sometimes and told some hilarious (and gross) jokes.

Did I like the book?

I liked this book a lot. It was a lot of fun. It was "THE BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD" but it was really funny, and I am glad I read it. One thing I really love about the book is something called Flip-o-rama. You hold down one page, hold the corner of the other, and flip the page back and forth and it looks like a live action cartoon. It's awesome!! I haven't read the first Super Diaper Baby book, but this one still made sense. I definitely want to read the first one now.

I think that it was not bad at all, and I would really recommend this book! I think this is good for little kids and stuff, because it was a really easy read!!! I LOVED IT!! I would definitely read more in this series!

There is something weird happening in Fever Swamp. Something really horrible. It started with the strange howling at night. Then there was the rabbit, torn to shreds. Everyone thinks Grady's new dog is responsible. After all, he looks just like a wolf. And he seems a little on the wild side.

But Grady knows his dog is just a regular old dog. And most dogs don't howl at the moon. Or disappear at midnight. Or change into terrifying creatures when the moon is full.

Or do they?

Goosebumps:

This is my second Goosebumps book and I really liked them both, but I liked this one SO much more than the other.

What's it about?

This one is about how Grady and his family move to Florida because his mom and dad are scientists. His dad caught some swamp deer and so he took them there to experiment and see if they could survive in the swamp. Grady decides to explore the swamp with his sister, Emily, and while they were there, they were looking around and found a bog. As they went farther in, they discovered a small, old hut where a hunched man lived. When he opened his mouth, he had really sharp teeth. They ran away as fast as they could, but ended up getting lost. They told their parents about the Swamp Hermit, but their parents said it was nothing to worry about. When Grady started hearing howls and scratches at night, during the full moon, he began to suspect that the hermit might be a werewolf. But things aren't always what they seem, and Grady (and I) were very surprised by the outcome!

What I thought:

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! My favorite character was Grady. He's the main character and I learned the most about him. I liked how this book was a mystery, and it was really dangerous for Grady. I love how everything was connected and how it all came together in the end. The book was scary for the characters, but it didn't scare me. My sister's friend thinks these books are too gross and scary, but I really like them! So, maybe these books aren't good for girls!! These books are pretty easy to read, and I like that because I got through it really quickly. I'll be reading more of these books!

Parents: This book has no bad language, but it can be a little scary and gross.

So this book is about a boy named Connwaer. He lives on the streets until the day he meets Nevery Flinglas and his life takes a turn. He picks Nevery's pocket and steals his locus magicalicus so Nevery takes it back and says he is taking Conn as a apprentice.

When Connwaer finds out what has been stealing the magic from Wellmet and he tells Nevery and the stop it!

Personal Opinion:

It was pretty good! My favorite character is Rowan! I like her cause she is Always SO COOL!! She seems like she's smart, and she teaches Conn how to read. Even though this book is about magic, it didn't remind me of Harry Potter. But they can do spells. I am going to read the next book LOST next!
I did not like the reader very much, because he sounds like he's shouting all the time. I think I will listen to the next book on audio, though, because I do like when he reads Nevery's journal, I like his voice for Nevery.

Note to parents: There were no bad words in this book, and no romance.......yet.

I love this book!!!!!! I liked reading about his life and what it's like to be at school (because I'm home schooled). I liked Justin a lot. He's just like a normal kid. But he freaks out a lot about tons of different things. He's really funny because he exaggerates a lot. Like he thought that if he didn't climb this rope that was really high that he wouldn't pass third grade and he'd have to do it all over again. This book was pretty easy for me to read (I'm almost 9). I really loved it a lot!
